Reasons I liked John when I was a kid

  • Had a cool haircut
  • Road a motorcycle
  • Hung out in the arcade all-day
  • Knew how to hack computers
  • Didn’t listen to his parents

Reasons I hate John as an adult

  • Has a stupid haircut
  • Recklessly Rides a motorcycle
  • Hangs out in the arcade all day doing nothing
  • Knew how to hack computers and steals money
  • Doesn’t listen to his parents

The special effects:

  • Terminators, in the beginning, were fully functioning animatronic models
  • Arnold wore really bright neon shorts so the reactions that people were giving looking down was actually a bit of surprise
  • They flew the helicopter under the bridge, it was so dangerous that the crew refused to film it so Cameron filmed it himself.
  • Built fake Linda Hamilton and mini landscapes for the dream sequence nuclear bomb scene
  • Jumped Arnold’s motorcycle using cables to lower them down
  • Actually Jumped/Crashed the diesel trucks
  • They really did blow up the cyberdine building

Fun Facts/Easter Eggs

  • Leslie Hamilton was used in Linda Hamiltons double scenes
  • The cop that gets stabbed through the face by his double is a twin
  • Linda Hamilton trained 3 hours a day, 6 days a week with for 13 weeks
  • The minigun is the same one used in Predator
  • Edward Furlong’s voice was changing during the shoot so the majority of his lines had to be re-dubbed
  • Edward Furlong was kinda pulled off the street to star in the movie, he was intimidated by Arnold’s fame so Arnold would play around with him to make him feel more comfortable

Nitpicks

Wish they would have left in the deleted scene where they open up his head and take out his microchip

Final thoughts

The point of the movie is that life is important, even the life of the man that causes judgment day. We can all learn the value of human life, even a robot made to destroy it
